The Open Education Intern will work with the Affordable Course Content Librarian to learn about the theory and current practice of open education. Researchers hoping to visit UK Libraries’ Special Collections Research Center next year may be eligible for fellowship funds to cover their domestic travel expenses. The Claude Sullivan Research Fellowship is open to researchers whose work would benefit from onsite access to archival materials housed in UK Libraries’ collections, including the Big Blue Sports Archive and materials on the legendary sportscaster Claude Sullivan.

University Archivist Ruth Bryan is a founding member of KHERN, an arts and culture emergency management resource that helps prevent and mitigate the loss of cultural resources in the event of disasters. UK Libraries will sponsor the publication of two books per year from the KY Press that will become open access titles.
Last month, UK Libraries welcomed campus faculty to its Breakfast on the Balcony event at William T. Young Library. The annual event provides an opportunity for new and returning faculty to meet their librarians and archivists and learn about the resources, services, and expertise that UK Libraries offers to support teaching and research across the university.
