University-wide Navigation

UK Libraries is committed to providing an equitable experience for all of our users.

We work continuously to improve the accessibility of our library spaces, resources, programs, and collections and to accommodate the wide range of abilities, backgrounds, and learning styles of every member of our community.

We hope you will help us identify barriers across UK Libraries by sharing your experiences accessing library spaces, equipment, and materials in our seven on-campus branch locations or across our many online resources.

Below, find more information and support for accessing all that UK Libraries has to offer.

Accessing Spaces

Accessible Practices

UK Libraries’ accessibility initiatives include accessible practices in developing library instruction curriculum and creating library spaces:

  • Inclusive teaching methods modeled on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), which allow our librarians to accommodate individual learning differences and meet the needs of all learners
  • Affordability initiatives aimed at reducing students’ financial burden and increasing access to higher education
  • Accessible and welcoming spaces such as all-gender restrooms, a lactation room, and more resources tailored to user wellness

Accessibility Resources

UK Libraries partners with UK’s Disability Resource Center to provide library users of all abilities with accessibility services and assistive technology.
