Return borrowed items on time to avoid fines and to ensure that other library users have access to the materials they need.
With the exception of lost Medical Center books, Law Library books, and Art equipment, fines payments are processed at William T. Young Library, Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m.–3:25 p.m. Credit cards and checks are accepted.
Payment plans are also available for borrowers, contact us for options.
Please return overdue library materials to the circulation desk in person during library hours.
After 45 days overdue, the library system will declare an item lost and assess a default lost replacement cost to your account. If a lost item is later returned, the replacement cost will be removed at the time the book is checked in.
If material is returned in a damaged condition, the library will determine cost of repair and charge accordingly. For items that cannot be repaired, the library will charge the borrower for replacement cost.
To avoid paying the replacement costs above, you have the option to replace the book on your own. It must be the same copy/edition (contact the library for ISBN #, etc.) and in good condition.
