The Margaret I. King Library is closed for a multi-year renovation project. Named after UK's first librarian, the Margaret I. King Library has most recently been home to the Special Collections Research Center, the university's STEM collections, the Gwen Curtis Map Collection, and the Stacks Digital Scholarship Center. While renovations are in progress, King Library services and resources have been relocated to the William T. Young Library and the Little Fine Arts & Design Library.

William T. Young Library is the central library in the University of Kentucky library system. Young Library houses a general undergraduate collection as well as materials in agriculture, biology, business, humanities, and the social sciences. The library is home to the Student Media Depot, the Hemenway Writing Center, Presentation U, and the Ricoh Document Service Center.

Located in Room 227 on the Second Floor of Dickey Hall, the Education Library supports the learning, teaching, and research needs of the College of Education. We are home to the Butler Education Studio, a maker space with a variety of self-serve craft materials and a 3D printer. We hold an extensive juvenile collection as well as materials on educational counseling, rehab counseling, health and kinesiology, and teacher education.

Located on the north side in the J. David Rosenberg College of Law building, the Law Library welcomes all legal researchers. Knowing that the study and practice of law is critical to a healthy and functioning society, we encourage all members of our community to use legal resources to answer questions, advance causes, and help others.

The Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts & Design Library holds collections in architecture, art, arts administration, dance, historic preservation, interior design, music, performing arts, photography, and theatre. We support learning, teaching, and research across the arts, and offer research help and library instruction services. The library is home to the John Jacob Niles Center for American Music, which includes the Niles Gallery and the Niles Reading Room.

The Medical Center Library facilitates access to health information essential for teaching, research, and patient care. We support students, faculty, and researchers in the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Health Sciences, and Public Health.
