The King Library Annex supports a wide variety of learning, teaching, and research needs of UK students, faculty, and staff. The Annex is home to The Stacks, a unique space with specialized equipment, resources, and events dedicated to digital and data-intensive scholarship. The Annex also houses materials and library services for the Science & Engineering Library, including collections for astronomy, chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, mathematics, physics, statistics, and most engineering disciplines, and the Maps Library, which holds the Gwen Curtis Map Collection and the GIS Lab. The Center for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) is located on the Fifth Floor.
The King Library Annex offers plentiful open seating and study rooms for individual or small group study, along with reservable spaces and specialized equipment for digital mapping, digital scholarship, and data visualization projects.
