The 48 Hour Film Race challenges students to create a short film from start to finish over one weekend while incorporating four film elements drawn randomly from a hat. The race begins with a kick-off meeting on Friday, March 22 at 6:00 pm in the Student Media Depot.

UK Libraries is pleased to welcome Kentucky treasure and nationally bestselling author Silas House as the featured speaker for the 2024 Edward F. Prichard Lecture. House will speak on the ways in which his literary work addresses environmental, working class, and Appalachian issues and the intersection of LGBTQ+ and rural identities. The Prichard Lecture will be held on Thursday, March 21 at 5pm in the Young Library Auditorium. RSVPs are required.
Last month, UK Libraries held its annual Research & Innovation Day, drawing together librarians, archivists, staff members, and graduate assistants from across the organization to share their work and research and connect with their colleagues.
