Planning is underway for a full-scale, multi-year renovation of the Margaret I. King Library building to begin Fall 2026. The project affects access to services at both the Special Collections Research Center and the King Library Annex. We’re excited for the opportunity to modernize this central campus landmark and appreciate your patience as we work to relocate library resources and services while renovations are in progress.

To prepare for this project, the facility was closed to the public at the end of the Spring 2026 semester and will remain closed for the duration of the renovation. We’ll continue to update this page as information about the project becomes available.

More information on interim operations is available on our King Library Renovation Service Impacts page.
