The Stacks Digital Scholarship Center is now open on the Ground Floor! Some items shifted as result of the new construction, and we are working as quickly as possible to update our floor maps to reflect these changes.

Parking

Visitors are encouraged to park in the Cornerstone Garage (409 South Limestone), located at the corner of Limestone and Avenue of Champions. Garage parking rates are $2 per hour, up to a maximum charge of $16. Parking is also available in the Bill Gatton Student Center Lot located off Avenue of Champions, at $2 per hour for a maximum of 12 hours. The nearest visitor ADA permit parking spaces are located in this lot.

Directions to the King Library Annex

From I-75 North

  • Take Exit 104 onto the Athens-Boonesboro Road (KY-418) and follow signs toward Lexington
  • Travel 8.4 miles, then turn left on Upper Street
  • Travel 0.6 miles, then turn left into the Cornerstone Garage 

From the Cornerstone Garage, use the Pedestrian Walkway, accessible from Level 3, to cross over Limestone. Continue on the sidewalk, passing between the Patterson Office Tower on your left and the Main Building on your right. Follow the sidewalk as it bears left in front of the Patterson Office Tower, then continue straight, passing White Hall and Lafferty Hall on your left. The Margaret I. King Library Building will be on your right. Travel to the south side of the building to find the entrance to the King Library Annex.

From I-75 South & I-64 East

  • Take Exit 115 onto Newtown Pike (KY-922) and follow signs toward Lexington
  • Travel 4.2 miles, then turn right on Upper Street 
  • Make an immediate left into the Cornerstone Garage 

From the Cornerstone Garage, use the Pedestrian Walkway, accessible from Level 3, to cross over Limestone. Continue on the sidewalk, passing between the Patterson Office Tower on your left and the Main Building on your right. Follow the sidewalk as it bears left in front of the Patterson Office Tower, then continue straight, passing White Hall and Lafferty Hall on your left. The Margaret I. King Library Building will be on your right. Travel to the south side of the building to find the entrance to the King Library Annex.

From I-64 West

  • Take Exit 113 for US-27/US-68 and turn right onto Broadway
  • Travel 3.5 miles, then turn left on Maxwell Street
  • Travel 0.2 miles, then turn right on Upper Street
  • Travel 0.3 miles, then turn left into the Cornerstone Garage

From the Cornerstone Garage, use the Pedestrian Walkway, accessible from Level 3, to cross over Limestone. Continue on the sidewalk, passing between the Patterson Office Tower on your left and the Main Building on your right. Follow the sidewalk as it bears left in front of the Patterson Office Tower, then continue straight, passing White Hall and Lafferty Hall on your left. The Margaret I. From Bluegrass Parkway

  • When Bluegrass Parkway ends, turn right on US-60 and follow signs toward Lexington
  • Travel 9.4 miles, then turn right on Oliver Lewis Way 
  • Travel 0.7 miles, then turn right on Upper Street
  • Make an immediate left into the Cornerstone Garage

From the Cornerstone Garage, use the Pedestrian Walkway, accessible from Level 3, to cross over Limestone. Continue on the sidewalk, passing between the Patterson Office Tower on your left and the Main Building on your right. Follow the sidewalk as it bears left in front of the Patterson Office Tower, then continue straight, passing White Hall and Lafferty Hall on your left. The Margaret I. King Library Building will be on your right. Travel to the south side of the building to find the entrance to the King Library Annex.

On-Campus Directions

The King Library Annex is located in the Margaret I. King Library Building. The entrance is on the south side of the building. The King Library Building is located in the central campus, south of Patterson Drive and west of Rose Street, between the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library and Pence Hall.

The King Library Annex is located in the Margaret I. King Library Building and accessible through the south entrance. Users enter the library on the Second Floor.

Second Floor

The Second Floor of the Annex is home to The Stacks: Digital Scholarship Center, a unique space featuring specialized technology and reservable spaces that support the digital scholarship and data initiatives of the UK community.

The Ground Floor is also home to Subway restaurant.

Science & Engineering Library third floor map.

Third Floor

The Third Floor is home to the Science & Engineering Library, holding collections along with reference materials, USGS publications, and notable resources, such as the Jillson collection and the Kentucky collection. Get Research Help and assistance with materials at the Service Desk. 

Find open seating for individual or group study throughout the floor. Four study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tech resources include a computer lab and a printer. Use the chess board for a quick study break.

Fourth Floor

The Fourth Floor is home to the Maps Library, featuring the Gwen Curtis Map Collection, the GIS Lab, and ample open seating and work space. 

Please note: Science & Engineering serials and current periodicals as well as the Kentucky and Jillson collections have moved to the Third Floor.
