Student studies in study room

Study rooms are available at most campus library locations.

Open Seating & Tables

Open seating is available at all campus libraries and variously designated for quiet, collaborative, or conversational study.

  • Quiet Study Spaces are set aside for quiet, focused study
  • Collaborative Study Spaces are ideal for small groups and moderately voiced conversation
  • Conversational Study Spaces are “shush-free” zones intended for groups to both study and socialize

Lounge Seating

Curl up with a book or meet with friends in one of UK Libraries’ lounge areas, featuring padded chairs, armchairs, and other casual seating options. You can find these laid-back spaces at most campus library locations.

Outdoor Spaces

From covered balconies and patios with dining tables to benches and colorful Adirondack chairs, UK Libraries offers a variety of options to take your studies outdoors. You can soak up the sun outside all of our locations across campus.
