Jennifer A. Bartlett, Oral History Librarian at UK Libraries Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History, has been named the new editor-in-chief of Kentucky Libraries, the peer-reviewed quarterly journal of the Kentucky Library Association, beginning in 2023.

Current editor Robin R. Harris, Public Services Librarian and Professor of Legal Bibliography at the University of Louisville, has served in the role for 15 years and will step down at the end of 2022. Bartlett is a current member of the Kentucky Libraries Editorial Board and has written the publication’s “Internet Reviews” column since 2014.

“It’s a real honor to be named the next Editor-in-Chief of Kentucky Libraries. The journal was first published in 1933 as the Bulletin of the Kentucky Library Association and for the past 90 years has documented the important stories of librarians working in all kinds of libraries across the Commonwealth,” said Bartlett. “Kudos to outgoing Editor Robin Harris, who has seen the journal through many changes over the past 15 years and is an unfailing source of energy and enthusiasm – she’s definitely a tough act to follow!”
