Welcome to Our New Site!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website (libraries.uky.edu).

Some of the great new features to look forward to include:

• Guided Search Function -- The new site features a redesigned guided search function. From the home page, a single click will take you directly to InfoKat Discovery, where you can search the library catalog. You can also jump straight to the Database A-Z list, Journals index, and ExploreUK from the front page.
• Site Search Feature -- The search icon in the upper right-hand corner of every page will allow you to search the UK Libraries website and several of its tools from a single location. Perform a keyword search and jump to results from the library website, InfoKat, Databases, Journals, or Research Guides.
• Improved Site Navigability -- A major priority in our redesign has been improved site navigability. The main navigation bar running along the top of the page allows you to easily and efficiently find the collections, spaces, resources, and services that you’re looking for. 
• Collection Highlights-- What is a library without collections! We’ve made it easier to discover collections and materials by subject, so you can quickly find a range of resources available for a specific subject. We’ve also highlighted all the rare and unique materials that set UK Libraries apart. Explore our Kentucky & Appalachia Collections page to discover the amazing physical and digital resources available to our users.
• Search Tips -- We’ve improved the user experience by including search tips for finding materials of all types and formats. 
• Detailed Location Pages -- Our improved location pages allow you to find spaces, tools, resources, and services floor-by-floor across the libraries. Find frequently used location-based services, and dive into collections, databases, and research guides by subject at every branch library.
• Streamlined Room Reservation Process -- A “Room Reservations” button on the main navigation bar takes users directly to reservable locations and a calendar of availability.
