Searching for Audio & Video

Use InfoKat Discovery to explore our comprehensive listings of online and physical audio and video materials. Many physical AV materials are also available for checkout.

  • To search through all of our AV holdings, filter results by “audio” or “video” resource type.
  • To find AV materials available in digital format, select the “Full Text Online” search filter when viewing your search results.

We also subscribe to dedicated audio/video databases.

Music & Theatre Performances

The Lucille Little Fine Arts Library houses a varied collection of audio and video materials, spanning music recordings, theater performances, films, and more. These materials are held in the Media Center,  which is equipped with viewing and listening stations for media playback.

Oral Histories

The Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History is a world-renowned leader in the collection and preservation of oral histories. With over 17,000 oral history interviews, our collections span an incredible breadth of topics, touching particularly on histories and lived experiences of 20th century Kentucky and Appalachia.

Videos & Streaming Platforms

UK Libraries holds a large collection of physical video materials and also provides access to digital and online collections. 

Users have access to film streaming services and platforms such as Films on DemandKanopySwank, and a collection of Appalshop films.
