University-wide Navigation

On Monday, July 17, UK Libraries will begin using the OpenAthens platform to access electronic resources, including databases, electronic journals, and other subscription resources. Access to these resources is currently managed using EZProxy.

The transition to OpenAthens will allow UK Libraries to better support our growing research community by expanding access to electronic resources, creating a more seamless search and discovery experience, and improving security.

Most users will not be impacted by the transition, and the process for accessing electronic resources through InfoKat or the UK Libraries website will remain the same. Some users may need to update bookmarks or links in Canvas that use the EZProxy prefix in their URLs. You can find more information on updating links in our OpenAthens FAQs.

If you have any questions or comments, or experience any access issues or other problems, please contact our Electronic Resources team at lib-er@lsv.uky.edu.
