With help through UK Facilities' Management's "Let's Make a Difference Initiative," students and researchers can now enjoy refreshed reading space in the New Books area at Young Library. Featuring new furnishings and partial privacy screens, the area provides our community members a nice respite on one of Young's busiest floors.
Launched in 2021, the “Let’s Make a Difference: A Campus Partnership Initiative,” invites members of the UK community to submit proposals to transform a public space on campus. Young Library’s Director of Circulation, Terri Brown, proposed furniture solutions to help brighten this reading area, a favorite spot for many students, faculty, and staff.
