Scheduled Maintenance at SCRC to Begin September 5

Remediation work in designated library storage areas at the Special Collections Research Center is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 5, and access to some print and archival materials in our Kentucky & Regional Collections will be limited while remediation efforts are underway.

UK Libraries Awarded Fifth National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) Grant

UK Libraries has been selected as one of 12 institutions across the United States to receive funding in 2023 for the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP). Awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the grant will allow UK Libraries to add 100,000 pages of historic Kentucky newspapers to the Chronicling America database.

UK Libraries Transfers Rare Stereograph to Henry Clay Memorial Foundation

In 2023 UKL SCRC and Henry Clay Memorial Foundation agreed to transfer a copy of the stereograph of Aaron Dupuy to the Ashland estate to be displayed on public tours. Once registered and framed, the stereograph will be displayed next to the drawing of his son Charles by early July.
