Adriana has worked in classrooms, libraries, and archives with the goal of promoting underrepresented histories and supporting students.
Adriana earned their Ph.D. in Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Kentucky, specializing in the history of sexuality. They earned a Master’s in Library Science and a Graduate Certificate in College Teaching & Learning also at the University of Kentucky. They are devoted to the preservation of diverse knowledges as both an instructor and librarian. This includes considerable work done in public and oral history, particularly with LGBTQ+ communities.
Outside of work, Adriana tends to their excessively friendly cat, listens to k-pop, and games.
