Printing

Printing is available in most campus libraries and accessible through UK Ricoh.

Mobile Printing

Students can print from anywhere using their laptops, tablets, phones, or even a smartwatch with Ricoh's Student Print Solution powered by PaperCut. Visit Ricoh's Student Print Services page to learn more about using Papercut, including

Scanning

  • Scanning Books: Book-eye scanners useful for scanning books and delicate materials like photographs are available in the Fine Arts & Design Library and the Special Collections Research Center
  • Scanning Objects & Slides: Equipment for scanning personal research materials, objects, and slides is available in the Breckinridge Digital Studio in the Special Collections Research Center

Breckinridge Digital Studio

The Breckinridge Digital Studio, located in the Breckinridge Research Room on the Second Floor of the Special Collections Research Center, is a self-serve digitization studio available to all registered students, faculty, staff, and community members wishing to scan their personal research materials.

Specialized equipment includes:

  • Bookeye 4 Planetary Color Scanner for books and photographs
  • Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Film Scanner for film and slides
  • FotodioX LED Studio-in-a-Box Tabletop Studio for small objects

Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage users to supply their own storage devices, though 8 GB thumb drives may be borrowed from the research desk in the Breckinridge Research Room.
