The Bert T. Combs Appalachian Collection contains over 10,000 book and journal titles, along with materials documenting regional economic development and labor strife, including the records of land, railroad, coal, and lumber companies; the records of anti-poverty agencies, community activist groups, and rural health organizations; and the papers of the region’s writers, artists, and musicians.
