UK Libraries supports teaching and research in fine arts and design by making available a wide variety of physical materials in the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library, including:

Special Collections in Fine Arts & Design

We also provide access to rare and unique collections to support research in Fine Arts & Design, including:

• Slides, photographic prints and negatives, correspondence, and visual artworks. Major collections include the Harlan Hubbard Image Collection and the John Tuska Papers
• Unpublished primary source materials on theatre topics, including the Warder Harrison Kentucky Entertainment Collection and the Henrietta Alice Metcalf Performing Arts Photographic Collection
• Rare music recordings, including the Lomax Kentucky Recordings and early 20th century Appalachian music, and the John Jacob Niles Papers containing music, books, and papers of the noted folk song collector and composer
• Papers, drawings, and image collections from architects, designers, architectural historians, and historic preservationists working in Kentucky. Major collections include the Richard B. Isenhour Architectural Drawings and the Historic American Buildings Survey: Kentucky Photographic Collection, 1935-1936
