Located in the Rotunda on the Second Floor of Young Library, the Scott Soviet Military Collection contains over 15,000 volumes spanning the entire Soviet era (1917-1991) and features many one-of-a-kind resources, including “bezplatno” materials meant only for internal Soviet military distribution, along with official journal runs, books, maps, posters, and other publications. With materials preserving the intellectual, cultural, political, and social history of the Soviet Union, the collection appeals to scholars across the humanities and social sciences.
