Photograph the World: Science & Engineering Library Accepting Photo Contest Submissions

UK Libraries' Science & Engineering Library is hosting its third annual photo contest! All University of Kentucky students are encouraged to submit their photography inspired by STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), from unique earth features to engineered landscapes, for a chance to have their work permanently displayed in the Science & Engineering Library. The winning photographer will also receive a library swag bag.

Photo submissions will be judged based on the criteria of:

  • artistic composition, aesthetics and creativity;
  • how effectively the image captures a specific concept, feature, process or phenomenon that relates to the STEM field; and
  • a short, well-written description of the photograph that elaborates on the specific scientific, engineering, geological or mathematical focus of the image.

This competition runs until October 31st and is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Kentucky.
