B. Bibliographic Control and Access
Goal One: To develop a comprehensive, electronic union catalog of Kentucky federal depository library holdings which assures citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky the capability to identify and retrieve those federal documents, both current and retrospective, regardless of format, which are part of the Federal Depository Library Program.
DESIRED OUTCOMES:
1. Each depository library will have a piece level record of material received through the Federal Depository Library Program to enable document patrons to identify, locate and access government publications from throughout the Kentucky depository library community. Suggested Assessment Measure
2. Depository pieces will have holdings records in the main catalog of each depository library which will give document users the ability to access newly cataloged government documents soon after their acquisition by the depository. Suggested Assessment Measure
Goal Two: To clearly identify federal depository material in each library's collection.
DESIRED OUTCOME:
Federal government material will be identified by the "depository" and "date" stamps on each item.
