Description:

Over 600,000 titles held at CRL are searchable through the catalog, including collections of newspapers, microform, journals, and dissertations. Coverage for all formats is international. Holdings are often unique and hard to find elsewhere. This site also includes

  • CRL Topic Guides, which detail the parameters of the CRL's uncataloged collections and list significant sets in a subject arrangement. Questions about access and holdings or about specific titles can be addressed to the CRL Access Services Department at 773-955-4545, ext. 314 or ext. 313.
  • Microforms Collections Index, which lists CRL's archival collections, periodicals, books, and topical collections on microform.
  • Newspapers Guide Site, with listings by geography and ethnic affiliation.

Full-text resources include the Brazilian Government Document Digitization Project and the Pamphlets and Periodicals of the French Revolution of 1848.
