|Oxford Bibliographies Online: Islamic Studies
Bibliographic "topic guide" to selected resources in Islamic Studies. Provides an introduction to the specialized literature on major and minor topics.
Selected scholars have produced a reference guide to what they consider the most important and significant sources. The guide features a selective list of bibliographic citations supported by direct recommendations about which sources to consult. Also includes an editorial commentary to show how the cited sources are interrelated. The citations link to the sources in the UK Libraries' Get Text resource, to Google book summaries, and to WorldCat.org. All articles receive multiple peer reviews and editorial board vetting. Articles are regularly updated by their authors. In addition to updated articles, new topic guides are added on a regular schedule to expand the scope and extent of each subject.
