Borrower IDs and Cards

Policies may differ among libraries. See also Loan Periods by Location.

Borrower IDs & Cards
All UK Students Must have their validated WildCard IDs before they may check out materials, including reserves.
UK Faculty & Staff May get a borrower's card at Young Library Circulation Desk or any other University of Kentucky library circulation desk. UK faculty & staff must present their UK faculty/staff ID card. See also OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program.
Non-UK Patrons May get a borrower's card at Young Library or any other University of Kentucky library if they are 18 years of age and show either a valid Kentucky driver's license, a valid Kentucky non-driver's ID card, an active student or faculty/staff id from an approved reciprocal college, or a UK alumni card.
