The library's online catalog indicates which materials are available in the libraries' collections. Records for items which are in the process of being acquired or cataloged also appear in the catalog. These items show up with one of the following Status notes:
As a service to patrons wishing to use these items as soon as possible, the library has made available special RUSH CATALOGING / NOTIFY request forms which are supplied at each site's reference desk and below in electronic form. Completion of the request form will result in rush processing of the title when it is received by the library. If the piece is already in-house, it will be given priority treatment when the request is received. Additionally, the item will be reserved for use by the patron who has requested it and the patron will be notified when the item is ready for use.
Patrons are urged to make use of this service, which is available at all University libraries at no charge.
Materials purchased by the libraries are sent to different Processing Centers. Choose the appropriate processing center from the menu below to access a Rush / Notify form based on the location appearing in InfoKat, the Libraries' online catalog.
