    • This extension does not apply to books that were overdue or lost before the library closed on March 20.
    • For questions and concerns about fines, email
  • When returning print items, UK Libraries encourages you to use the designated book return outside your nearest UK Libraries location.

Course Reserves

  • To better ensure the health and safety of our campus community, physical reserves will be quarantined for 72 hours between handling. UK Libraries encourages instructors to take advantage of our e-reserves as a more efficient alternative.
  • Instructors wishing to put print or electronic items on fall reserve should contact Mary Pattengill ( The library will work with instructors to provide access to material - this includes electronic books when possible, scanned book chapters or excerpts (10% or less of copyrighted book is the Fair Use standard), electronic journal articles found in UK Libraries databases, course syllabi, lecture notes, etc.
