In This Together: Documenting COVID-19 in the Commonwealth
University of Kentucky Libraries Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) has launched an initiative to document the personal experiences of those who are living, working and/or studying in Kentucky during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Your stories will be preserved in the SCRC along with other records about this time period.
To share your oral histories, audio recordings, written stories, diary entries, photographs, videos, art, and other items documenting your experience living through COVID-19, please visit http://libraries.uky.edu/in-this-together.
UK Goes Online
The University of Kentucky has moved to online or alternative instruction for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester and the Summer 2020 session. View UK's coronavirus updates page for more information about the university's preventative measures and responses.
In keeping with the university's efforts to reduce risks associated with COVID-19, UK Libraries is now operating on an online service delivery model. Librarians are available daily to assist patrons via chat ("Ask Us") and email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Zoom consultations may also be scheduled. View our online service Hours at a Glance.
To best protect our patrons and personnel, we have temporarily suspended circulation of physical items. Due dates for all borrowed materials have been extended automatically through August 31. This extension does not apply to books that were overdue or lost before the library closed on March 20.
For questions or concerns about fines, email email@example.com.
If you wish to return items now, the William T. Young Library book return is open and accessible from the Hilltop Avenue loop facing The 90. The book return is checked on Tuesdays and Fridays, and materials will be checked in after a 48–72 hour quarantine period.
