South African Intern

From March 12 - April 28, 2012 the University of Kentucky Library hosted an intern funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York to improve research libraries in South Africa. The expectations of the host institution were to provide the intern with opportunities to gain a cultural understanding of how librarians interact with researchers as well as a practical and theoretical understanding of what it takes to provide research support. Yusuf Ras arrived on March 10th to begin his assignment.
