The Libraries have added two Adam Matthew subscription databases for your use.
China: Trade, Politics, and Culture, 1793-1980
provides source material detailing China’s interaction with the West with documents from politicians, diplomats, missionaries, business people and tourists, focusing on Chinese history generally and Sino-Western contacts over the last two centuries more specifically. Includes visual resources, original pamphlets, newspaper and journal runs, personal diaries, and diplomatic papers.
Literary Print Culture: The Stationers’ Company Archive
This collection provides full-text access to a large archive covering the history of the book, publishing, and copyright in early modern England. The primary sources herein explore English literature, Renaissance theatre, and print culture from the early modern period to the twentieth century.
