WWI exhibit opening Monday, Jan 30, at SCRC

WWI exhibit opens at M.I. King Library

To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of US participation in World War I (WWI), the UK Libraries Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) will open a new exhibit: “To Some Unknown Place” World War I Through the Eyes of Michael Joseph Kimmel. The exhibit highlights US involvement in WWI from the perspective of United States Army Ambulance Service (USAAS) soldier, Joseph Kimmel, and features original photographs from Kimmel’s own scrapbooks from the Christine May Tomiatti collection held at the SCRC. The exhibit will run from January 30–March 3, 2017.
