Computer Access Changes
Given the high demand for computer resources, all computers available to the general public in W.T. Young Library will have user time limits placed on them and enforced by metering software effective the first week of February 2013. A University of Kentucky Library card, UK student ID or UK faculty/staff ID, activated in InfoKat, will be required to log into public computers. Kentucky residents may acquire a Library card at the Young Library Circulation Desk on the 1st floor by showing a valid Kentucky Identification Card (driver’s license or other Kentucky photo ID).
Library visitors are encouraged to bring their own laptops or mobile devices, as Young Library has extensive wireless access and numerous tables that support wired connections. Questions about public computer access may be directed to the Young Library Circulation or Reference Desks.
