PubMed (University of Kentucky)
-- Free access to MEDLINE with many UK full-text holdings. (Restricted to UK faculty, staff and students.)

PubMed (NLM) -- Free access to MEDLINE (Free to all; no access to UK full-text holdings.)


DIRLINE: Directory of Health Organizations
-- A directory of health and biomedical organizations, government agencies, information centers, professional societies, voluntary associations, support groups, academic and research institutions, and research facilities and resources.


LocatorPlus
-- The National Library of Medicine (NLM) online catalog of books, audiovisuals, journals, computer files, and other materials in the Library's collections.


National Guideline Clearinghouse
-- Site of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents maintained by NLM.


NLM Catalog
-- provides access to NLM bibliographic data for journals, books, audiovisuals, computer software, electronic resources and other materials. Links to the library's holdings in LocatorPlus, NLM's online public access catalog, are also provided.


TOXNET
 -- A group of databases covering toxicology, hazardous chemicals, and related areas.

UK faculty, staff and students use their UK Wildcard as their library card. Persons not affiliated with UK may obtain a library card if they are 18 years of age and present a valid Kentucky driver's license or a valid non-driver ID. Faculty, staff, and students from reciprocal colleges and universities in Kentucky may obtain a UK library card with proper identification. Anyone with a UK library card may check out materials in the Medical Center Library or any UK campus library.

Holds

If a book, journal, or audiovisual you need is checked out, you may place a hold on it so that when it is returned to the Medical Center Library it will be held at the User Services desk for you. You will be notified when it is available.
