Join us for a brief overview of the University of Kentucky Medical Center Library (MCL) and the many services it provides. Click your way through the MCL website to find out about library programs and procedures, how to request information, or sign up for a class. This hour will pass quickly for both new users and those who have not yet taken advantage of the many services the MCL offers. A tour of the Library is offered for interested persons. Allow an extra 30 minutes to take advantage of the tour.
UK faculty, staff and students use their UK Wildcard as their library card. Persons not affiliated with UK may obtain a library card if they are 18 years of age and present a valid Kentucky driver's license or a valid non-driver ID. Faculty, staff, and students from reciprocal colleges and universities in Kentucky may obtain a UK library card with proper identification. Anyone with a UK library card may check out materials in the Medical Center Library or any UK campus library.
The Medical Center Library sends library notices via e-mail.
If a book, journal, or audiovisual you need is checked out, you may place a hold on it so that when it is returned to the Medical Center Library it will be held at the User Services desk for you. You will be notified when it is available.
Contact Genia Kempster if you have questions about placing a hold on library materials or for any questions related to borrowing library materials.
