Library Liaisons Program

Liaison Activities


Liaisons' activities vary, depending on the needs and wishes of the college or group they serve. Possible activities include:

  • Membership on college curriculum and/or faculty committees
  • Participation in Morning Report and Walking/Table Rounds at hospital/clinical site
  • Curriculum support for classes
  • Participation in staff and student orientations
  • Instruction in the use of information resources
  • Assistance in requesting interlibrary loan materials via ILLiad
  • Library card registration and EZProxy information/assistance
  • Collection management
  • Grant participation
  • Reference or special service needs consultation
  • Presentations to department groups on library issues
  • Development of partnerships in electronic resources sharing
  • Accreditation reporting
  • Distance learning requests and training
  • Exhibitions at conferences and meetings
  • Information resources needs assessment
  • Provision of library information for college brochures, handouts, and websites
