Borrowing Information

Access My Library Account


All UK faculty, staff or students may obtain a library card at the Medical Center Library User Services desk or at any University of Kentucky campus library. Persons not affiliated with UK may obtain a library card if they are 18 years of age and present a valid Kentucky driver's license, a valid non-driver ID, or a UK Alumni card. Anyone with a UK library card may check out materials in the Medical Center Library or any UK campus library.


Faculty, staff, and students from other Kentucky colleges and universities may obtain a UK library card with proper identification.


Use InfoKat (UK Libraries' Catalog) to locate materials owned by the UK Libraries.

E-mail notices


The Medical Center Library sends library notices via e-mail. Please include your e-mail address when using the E-mail Request form.


Holds


If a book, journal, or audiovisual you need is checked out, you may place a hold on it so that when it is returned to the Medical Center Library it will be held at the User Services desk for you. You will be notified when it is available.
