Heyburn II Initiative uses archival materials and oral histories to highlight Kentuckians in the Federal Judiciary, contextualizing their work as part of the broader sweep of American, particularly Kentuckian, history. Includes biographical profiles of Kentuckians who are connected to the federal courts, including federal judges, politicians, and other notable public figures; all publicly available oral histories conducted as part of the John G. Heyburn II Initiative for Excellence in the Federal Judiciary at the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History; and exhibits that spotlight the role of the federal courts in American history. New materials will be added to the site on an ongoing basis.
